Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her parts as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz as a child. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominees featuring female stars. Through the years, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
